Who can make a request
A Wonkka account holder, a member authorized to represent a workspace, or a person whose data was processed by a business through Wonkka may request deletion.
To protect people and the business, we will verify the requester's identity and authority before deleting data or closing a workspace.
How to submit a request
The currently available method is email:
- Email sales@wonkka.app with the subject “Data deletion request”.
- If you have an account, write from its associated email and include your name and workspace. If you are a business’s customer, provide the business name and the WhatsApp number, email or identifier you used to interact with it; you do not need a Wonkka account to request deletion.
- Specify whether you want to delete your account, close a workspace, erase a customer’s data or delete data associated with WhatsApp, Mercado Pago, Cresium or another integration.
If you are a business's customer
First contact the business you interacted with because it controls the purpose of your data. If you cannot contact it, write to us and include the number, email, or identifier you used, the business name, and a description of the interaction so we can locate the information without exposing third-party data.
What happens next
We will acknowledge the request and may ask for more information to verify identity, authority, and scope. We will then delete or deidentify the relevant data within the period required by applicable law and send confirmation.
If we cannot comply in whole or in part, we will explain why, such as when we must keep a record to satisfy a legal obligation or protect rights and security.
What deletion may cover
Depending on the request and your relationship with Wonkka, deletion may include:
- Account profile, sessions, memberships, and preferences.
- Workspace configuration and customer, service, professional, resource, availability, booking, order, class, membership, access, check-in, and operational data.
- Message content and metadata stored by Wonkka, transcripts, derived summaries, assistant conversation state, contact identities, opt-outs, notification preferences and agent configuration.
- Payment references and status, connected accounts, encrypted tokens, billing subscriptions, CBUs, CVUs, or aliases, and events received from providers.
- Connections, identifiers, webhooks, and encrypted integration credentials managed by Wonkka.
Data that may be retained
We may retain what is strictly necessary to meet tax, accounting, or legal obligations; reconcile payments, refunds, or chargebacks; resolve disputes; prevent fraud or abuse; demonstrate consent and opt-outs; and enforce agreements.
Backups are deleted on their operational cycles and remain protected in the meantime. Aggregated or deidentified information that can no longer identify a person may be retained.
Disconnections and external providers
Disconnecting WhatsApp in Wonkka removes the managed Kapso connection and stops new messages, but does not automatically delete history, customers, or operations stored by Wonkka. Similarly, disabling Mercado Pago or Cresium in Wonkka does not delete the provider account, its records, payments, refunds, or active subscriptions.
Meta, WhatsApp, Kapso, Mercado Pago, Cresium, and other providers may retain information under their own policies and obligations. A request to Wonkka does not replace controls, revocations, or requests you may need to exercise directly with them. When closing a workspace, we will unlink assets we manage where we have authority to do so.
Personal account and workspace
Deleting your personal account does not automatically delete a workspace that is also owned by other people. We may remove your profile, sessions, and memberships while the business and its records continue under another authorized owner.
If you are the sole owner, before deleting the account you must transfer ownership through the applicable process or also request workspace closure. Only the owner may request complete closure of the business.
Effects of deletion
Closure is irreversible: automations and messages will stop, members will lose access and some settings cannot be recovered. Deleting data or closing a workspace is not the same as canceling renewal of the Wonkka plan or its packs, and does not automatically issue refunds or cancel external agreements. Also specify whether you want those subscriptions canceled, and keep a copy of any information you need before requesting closure.
